The beautiful weed...

It's been a while since I've been active on Frihost, at least a month, so I thought I'd share a pic I took while playing with the macro settings on my camera around the same time I became 'less active' Smile

OK, it's a weed growing though the cracks in my concrete, but she's pretty, and I left her there for that reason, who am I to kill something because it happened to have the misfortune of germinating in the wrong crack?! Wink

Welcome back! xD

nice shot, by the way! Was that taken during night time? or do macro lenses just do that dark surrounding effect?

It's stuff like that that make me want to take pictures myself. But I'm afraid I'll look like a 'wanna be' to everyone (as i sometimes tend to not finish what i've started. kinda being like a 'jack of all trades and master of none' thing.)

*PS. hooray! this is my 100th post! Very Happy*

Cheers, I did play with it a little though when I resized it, if I remember right I selected a large feathered circle around the flower and darkened it after sharpening it up a bit.

Who cares what anyone else thinks? I'm no photographer, I just like sharing any shots I like which I've created myself, it's always a bonus if just one person likes them though! You should just go for it, I'm sure you have some interesting shots in mind from your own part of the world Smile

...I'm also more than happy to wear a 'Jack of all trades, master of some' hat, it's a definite advantage to be versatile in life, and having fun with some things doesn't require mastery of all the finer details.
