I know it's the Rugby Union world cup later this year, but for now the focus is on the annual 6 Nations Championship, starting tonight.
It used to be the 5 Nations - Wales, Ireland, Scotland, England & France, but some years ago Italy joined the fray and 5 became 6.
To a lot of people including myself, this is almost a bigger thing for us than the world cup. It's an older tournament with huge passion between the close nations, especially England v France, and well, England v all the rest of us. I was born and raised in Wales so tonight I'm supporting my 'home' nation. A load of friends are coming over my house to watch the match and yes I will be the solitary Welsh supporter in the room, so I'm desperately hoping we win!
That said, if England is playing anyone else apart from Wales I will always support England. It's my adopted home and my son was born here. He told me this morning that he doesn't want Wales to be absolutely demolished tonight (as he's half Welsh), but he is supporting England. That's fair enough to me
If anyone is interested in watching and you're not in the UK, it is available at myp2p.eu, following this link:
7:45pm (GMT) kick-off
*Edit* Amazing game even if the result didn't go as I wanted, Wales 19 v 26 England, no disgrace though, look forward to Scotland next saturday!
