I love my cat, she's about a year old, got her from a friend who runs a cat pound and this poor thing turned up in January this year with fur missing, hungry & thin and generally miserable looking for help.
I've treated her to the high life since she moved in, loads of meaty food each day to build her up and get her healthy again, but last week I switched to the "complete" biscuit type food.
She's sulked and hasn't eaten much at all, but as I'd bought a big box, my attitude has been "go on then, clear off and catch a few mice if you don't like it, you choose to be here and I don't need you".
Well, it's worked, and tonight when I came home from work there was a lovely greeting and a happy cat finally enjoying the healthy food she's got. Battle of will's that needed winning I reckon. I can't help laughing at the people I hear saying "my cat/dog won't eat that" - or even parents in the supermarket saying "my little johnny won't eat that", they will if they're hungry enough and perhaps they should re-examine the difference between "needs" and "wants" ?
