I've been kayaking all my life and don't actually remember being taught how to, as it was something I just always did as a kid with my Dad and older brothers.
We called it canoeing back then, even though our sit-in boats are what the world calls kayaks these days. In fact, the governing body of the sport in the UK is The British Canoe Union, and they're the folk who gave me my certificates as a young 'un. Either way, ignore my lack of history about the name of the sport, and the fact that this has side-tracked my post, I'll get back to my point!
I'm paddling around in my (almost vintage) 10 year old Perception Dancer, as its good enough for my uses, and every time I have a spare £500.00 to spend, there's always a more important place to spend it
I don't have many pics to share here because usually I don't have my camera with me - for obvious reasons! But it's a big part of my life as I paddle most days after work to chill out, living 5 mins walk from a beach has its advantages That said, I'll start posting anything interesting here from now on, even if its just a mention of the surf and weather conditions... or I'll start trying to remember to do it!
