lil bit angry with myself...




I smoked a couple of cigarettes tonight Sad

3 and a half days and I was doing so well, but circumstances stressed me to the bone and I'm gonna have to give up again tomorrow.

Finished work today, got home, needed to use my car to go somewhere but the battery was flat (arrgh!) not a problem, parked on a hill so tried to bump-start it...not happening, the immobiliser alarm thing had a problem and wouldnt let me start it, so at the bottom of the hill I pulled over and accepted I had to use jump-leads with a friends car.

It got worse, when I pulled the lever to open the bonnet (hood - US) the connecting wire snapped and nothing happened! At this point I snapped myself and in a comic/stupid/embarrasing style proceeded to kick my car calling it names and making myself look silly to everyone walking past in the middle of town!

I then walked to the shop over the road, bought some cigarettes and smoked one, calmed down, managed to open the hood/bonnet, called a friend, started the car, and re-charged the battery, ending the evening with everything fixed except my smoking habit.

...accepted the fact that today was a set-back, gonna re-start my healthy trip again tomorrow and start again!

Oh, if everything in life was as simple as cheese on toast!

Don't give up! If you put your mind away from it you will succeed. Try chewing gum instead, I find it works a lot better than smoking.

...just got back from the shop after buying some nicotine replacement gum, tastes horrible but might be good for helping me slowly reduce my cravings - Oh my gosh, I feel such a drug addict, it's pathetic really!!!
