A new film covering the events of, and surrounding, September 11, 2001 is to be released, making it the first in ohhh 'round about 2 hours now. Announced by the Guardian and alledged to be in production now for release 2013 sometime.
The redeeming feature of this particular rolling thunder of a genre of film is the cast, notably Harrelson and Martin Sheen. Theres some considerable credulity about the people behind this film dramatisation, but I fear there won't be any great re-appraisal since it, The Movie, will be safely encased in the institution of media giants.
Movie publishing companies in the U.S. and U.K. currently seem to be profiting greatly from documentation of their governments' often chaotic "war on terror" foriegn policy meanderings;
Generation Kill, Homeland, Hurt Locker, Over There, and Green Zone are just a few I can think of.
They're just the current obvious ones, and I guess this is peak time, 11 yrs after the fact. Definately over a decade. Will the truth be out, or will the counter-myth meet the mainstream collective for a nice cup of tea and gentle inquiry.

I think 11 years is fair amount time past to have a movie that is based (most likely "loosely" based) the events on that horrible day. Only problem is it will boost those jerks that attacked the world on that day.
