Just for reference; Arculator is perfect for emulation of most games, in fact its bloody brilliant! Cataclysm, Speedball, E-Type, Elite. Classics.
Elite has an excellent open source copy cat program, which must never be referred to as Elite but is clearly ahhhhmmm Elite... ahem, it is called Oolite (Object Oriented Elite), available on Mac OS X (10.4 and higher) and PCs running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Linux.
Today I am attempting a system regression; installation of an Acorn Archimedes emulator.
We (my family) had a BBC Acorn A3000 when I was very young, about 10-11. It was the logical step up from the old BBC 'B' that we already had, and I had written some cracking little programs on that. For programming though, the A3000 was like one giant leap. Its RISC OS (Reduced Instruction Set Computing) allowed very intuitive coding, like BBC Basic but far more powerful. Loved that thing.
For a start though, I need a copy of RISC OS v.2+....
