Yet another blog, and an achievement of sorts.

The number 3 appears to have an affinity for me today.

I didn't think I'd be using Frihost Blogs even when it launched, but here I am. What is my opinion of Frihost blogs?
  1. It's nowhere near as fun/customizable as my Wordpress blogs.
  2. The moderation of blog posts is likely to cause a headache for moderators, as we will have to be less strict about "post quality", I suppose.
  3. At the same time, if too many users start blogging on Frihost, staff won't have enough time to look through all blog posts to make sure that none of them are offensive/not fit to be on Frihost.
  4. However, one cannot refute the fact that Frihost Blogs will work in favour of creating more of the "community" atmosphere that Frihost is trying to create.
  5. Like Bondings said in his inaugural post, each post has the potential to reach thousands of members, and is likely to definitely be more popular than your other blogs.
  6. Giving same points as posts makes it far too easy to get points/FRIH$.

To put it simply, I believe that the Blogs are going to become quite a popular feature here on Frihost. And moderation issues aside, I suppose I'm quite looking forward to them as well.

Good luck, Frihost Blogs!

I'll definitely make some themes and styles to customize the Frihost Blogs in the future. But of course it will never be as customizable as self-made blog where you control the code.

I don't think it should be harder than the forums. Besides, it has the same report system as the forums, so the users will be able to help.

I'm really hoping this will be the case.

I'm not sure about that. But if this really becomes a problem, I can adjust it at any time.

I don't suppose it's going to be possible to create and upload our own themes? Why don't you make it so that we can at least specify our own colour scheme through customized CSS, either through uploading a CSS or writing it in through a form, if possible?

Yes, one can. But the easy link for the memberlist is gone.

My Wordpress Blogs definitely will be my first preference. But, like I said, most of my blog visitors don't like reading about amateur webdesigning or don't know about Frihost, it would be pointless to make posts about such things there, so my task of trying to decide what I really want is made relatively simpler.
