So I was reading in Jarom a day or so ago. For some reason I was reading it with the notion, Why is this book here? I felt determined to share something from that particular book with a family that day. This is the verse I came upon:
11 Wherefore, the prophets, and the priests, and the teachers, did labor diligently, exhorting with all long-suffering the people to diligence; teaching the law of Moses, and the intent for which it was given; persuading them to look forward unto the Messiah, and believe in him to come as though he already was. And after this manner did they teach them.
That's a great example of how we should live our lives; as if we knew the savior was coming tomorrow! I was reading about Brigham Young not long ago either and I think he was talking about the same thing. Then I heard a talk about a member that was in the FBI when Hoover was heading the Bureau, and how he ran the FBI a similar way. Everyday every single person in the bureau was in an adrenaline rush as if every little thing they did was life or death of the country every single day. Given how randomly sick I've been on my mission, I should literally be doing the same thing. haha.
I hate CAT scans... they make you drink that barium stuff. I thought I was gonna hurl. The first bottle wasn't too bad. but for some reason I could Not handle the second bottle near as easily. The smell of it reminded me of something too. I still can't quite place it... but it was not pleasant. Then when I went in for the scan, they gave me an iv that made me feel concernedly warm inside... As long as I don't eat food at all I'm not in any pain, so i think I'll just do that and not worry about the doctors.... haha.
A member here just got back from his mission not long ago, and less that 7 days later he was engaged... haha. crazy.... there's a lot of people getting married around here right now. what's in the water here?? a great Potential investigator we have is a photographer, and is going to the Orlando temple to take pictures of the RM's wedding. His mom said she had a distinct impression to ask her if she'd photograph the wedding. So we're hoping to get some ground covered there The temple is such a nice place! I wish I could go on my mission. If only we had a temple here in Jacksonville... Working in it! Just need more people baptized and more people to come on back to church.
I hope you're all still doing good. I got dad's pictures of the jeep. On that note i would like to say they took away our mission car and said it would be alright if dad sent me the Jeep haha. i'm kidding of course.
I love you family. Hope you're still having fun in Idaho! or.. back in Texas.. I don't know when you head back home... i don't know much of anything about home. But that's ok, that's why I have scriptures!
