How do dogs think?

Okay, this just literally popped into my head two seconds ago. How do dogs think?
I mean, I get how people think. Like you can't decide on what food to get, you might say to yourself in your head "Umm.... do I want the pizza? It looks like it is two days old. Who orders a 2 day old pizza anyways. This is a tough decision." Well, how does a dog think about what they want to do next? If I feel that I am thirsty, I think "I better get a drink." What does a dog do? Dogs don't have languages, so they really can't say anything to themselves, now can they?
I better not think about this too hard. It is making my head hurt....
