At stations, smoking gets costlier by the day

So annoying. Waiting for a train is an ideal time to light up a cigarette. I really don't know why they can't have both smoking and non-smoking areas, and no-one would need complain.

Eventually it will force smokers to disobey the rules. I went to a town recently which was completely smoking banned in the public areas - on the streets, in the park... everywhere. Really, I was thinking, well, I might as well light up here inside the cafe... on that occasion I didn't, as I was attending a wedding later that day and really didn't want the drama - so I lit up in the (banned) park. Really, there needs to be a compromise.

Problem with smoke is that people around have to suffer. When I walk the streets and meets a smoker I usually hold my breath for 10-20 meters or so after he has passed to not inhale the smoke. That is not such a big deal because it is over quickly. It is much worse when someone smokes while waiting for a train or a bus because then you are standing still and it's not always easy to avoid the smoke.

So why not have one section smoking on one end and then okay if you stand right next to that section you will really still be in the smoke but if you stand a bit further away you will be okay.

Its good ! atleast government is getting serious for this issue ! I hate smokers ! I don't know if they had to smoke then why don't put a foil around the cigarette so that they can alone enjoy the whole of it !! Laughing

Having two sections is not always realistic. And If you have two section you also have to be lucky with the wind.
