Make Application Portable

Let us share how we can make/get applications/programs as portable programs. eg: Copy sndrec32.exe from C WINDOWS system32 on your usb and run anywhere on any PC to record and play .wav files. Its handy, there is no hassle to find where the sound recorder is. Other possible programs ???
