Ill chat it up about articles I write about games, or some of the new flash games that I come up with!
This is the current flash project that im working on day and night. It has the same feeling of the top down shooter named "touhou". I have always wanted to make such a game, but did not have the time, nor did I think flash could handle so many objects on the screen moving at once. However I was able to make my own system in handling the movemnt of over 500+ bullets on the screen plus 1 simple hit test to test for them all on the hero class. A proto-type of the game is being made right now, and its website is in the works and will be done by this weekend (after a gaming convention that im going to). There will also be a (hopefully) easy to use level editor that will let people who always wanted to make one of these kind of games, be able to make their own boss!, ill make sure to keep this updated as the game moves forward each day!
Finlay, after almost a year of nothing new being added, a new, massive project is under works. This will be by far the biggest project I have ever worked on, and if all goes well, one of the best yet!
First, the most important question, what is Megaman Creations? Simply put, it will be a massive Megaman map editing community. A website (address name still being thought up) will be made, where users will have two options, Play the game, or create a level. These levels will then be saved to the site for everyone to play, but it gets more detailed than this. The release date is still a bit off, but I do plan to post little parts of the engine as its made. Heres a few quick features.
- Ability to easily create Megaman levels using the flash map editor. Place tiles and enemies.
-The ability to save and publish levels for others to use.
-A "Play" mode that will change with new levels each time you start a new game (more info later)
-Will add and script many bosses for users to pick from (with user sprite submissions, the possibilities are endless).
-Great megaman 2 style gameplay! (best around, in honor of megaman 9!)
More features and information to come.
It seems I havnt posted here in over 6 months. However with work letting up some, and this semester of class over, it seems ill have some time to post here now!. Ill see if I can start the "guess the image" game back up and going and hand out some free .com domain names! Also I am currently working on some new flash games, which im going to post about as soon as I finish this blog, -212 points is a lot, but lets see if i cant get that back up to what it use to be!
For us that have been around when bondings first made the blogs, he made at least one post a day called the "frihost dailys" ( Check them out here )
I really wish bondings would bring this back, im sure he is busy, as am i (just cant come here as much as i used to) but i loved to see what was going on around frihost in one simple post.
The Following is an article that I wrote that had no place to be put up, so I figured Id share it with you all here.
It was not long ago that we posted an article talking about how there will be No FFVII Remake any time soon. However, once again the rumors shoot up, and this time fans are getting even crazier about it. This is all due to the new PSP game called Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII that was released only a few days ago in Japan.
First, people went crazy due to secret ending that was found at the end of the game, with the message at the end saying “to be continued in Final Fantasy VII”. Now this could mean a few things. First… Crisis Core is in fact a prequel to FFVII, so its only normal for it to say “to be continued”. Another theory behind this, maybe Sony is about to put FFVII up on PSN for download for our PSP pleasure.
Movie Contains no spoilers to the game (its just a secret ending that deals with FF7)
The video at first seems to have the good old feel of the tech demo we all saw a few years back, but this is indeed a new video, as some of it has been changed… does this mean FFVII remake, or are people overlooking the fact that this is a new game, and the creators of the game just wanted to have a nice looking ending.
However, yet another item has now spiked the rumors up once again. For people who have bought the collectors edition of this game, they also got a book, within this book, there are a few pages that are showing the FFVII demo they had a few years back, but with text that says "We hope to meet Final Fantasy VII Again!"
Now with this piece right here, it’s hard to say. There are multiple rumors going around about what this could possibly mean. Well of course the first one is the Final Fantasy VII remake. However, there are also rumored to be other games in the FFVII world to come, thus, this could simply mean that Crisis Core is not the end of NEW FFVII games. In fact, it’s not so much rumor, as it was said at the Square Enix party that Crisis core is NOT the last game in the world of FFVII
So is this new Final Fantasy game full of hints of a possible remake, only time will tell (though both pieces put together do look pretty interesting.) We all know Square Enix would earn loads of money from a remake, and remakes are also cheaper to make for the most part than a new game. So why would they hold off and such a gold mine? In the end, if a remake where to come, it sure wont be any time soon, at least with the game list Square has already put out, but who knows, more amazing and surprising things have happened in the gaming world.
