I just moved into my new condo last week. Everything feels great. It doesn't feel as lonely as I first expected. On the contrary, living near the university gives me more time to spend with my friends instead of wasting it commuting for two hours.
At 5:45am, I was awakened by the blinding light shining through my window. Usually I'd be annoyed having to wake up that early but that day I was excited for the first day of classes. A few minutes later, the clouds covered the sun. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust and when I looked out the window, I was filled with awe.
There's a school in the foreground, and lots of trees surrounding it. There are subdivisions and villages, also covered in trees. Looking farther away, I can see Marikina and lots and lots of houses. The farthest thing that I saw, however, is what made me really happy. The whole background is filled with huge mountains. There are lot of beautiful clouds on top, and I can see the mist-like clouds hovering just above Marikina. Further more, the sky is in a perfect shade of blue. All of these were like yellow stars on a pitch black sky the night before.
I thought about a lot of things. Like how this time I'll be serious in my studies, how I'll be a good son, etc. I felt so happy I just had to thank God the instant I saw the scenery. And now every morning I'm greeted with a different kind of scenery - differently colored clouds, etc. And I think it's a great way to start the day. A great way to start my second year in college.
Next time I'll try to borrow my mom's camera and take a picture of it
