Brightness or Luminance
It is the control that adjusts the brightness of the dot or dash. The brightness control is done by means of a potentiometer located in the circuit of the control grid of TRC by which regulates the potential of the grid. One should avoid using excessive glare otherwise damaging the screen.
It is the control that adjusts the sharpness of the dot or dash light. The focus adjustment is achieved by adjusting a potentiometer that regulates the polarization of the electrode approach. The focus should be adjusted to obtain a thin, crisp screen.
NOTE: The settings of brightness and focus are basic adjustments that must be made whenever you use the oscilloscope.
