At the moment near our place they are doing a lot of roadworks, widening the roads, creating bridges and things like that. In the past few days they've opened up the new bridge that they've built, but it is only one way!
To control the traffic they've put a traffic light on either side of the bridge, with a video camera mounted on top. I'm not exactly sure whether the cameras allow the traffic lights to manage the traffic though, or if the traffic lights are just on a timer. If anyone knows anything about this sort of thing I'd love to know more, although I guess that is rather unlikely
