Raspberry Pi 3

A couple of days ago I made an order online for Raspberry Pi 3 for approximately US$ 55 including a china made 5 layer case and it arrived today. I am a raspberry pi user for almost a year. And still I am this excited to be able to have this wonderful piece of machine. I am planning to install Arch Linux on it but for the meantime, I will be installing raspbian for testing purposes.

I've bought mine back in April, at first I was playing around with it a little in raspbian but after about 30 minutes when I had shut it down it had gotten pretty hot. this is my first pi so I'm not sure if this is normal and/or safe to be left running 24/7.

should I be worried?

@Marcuzzo I think that is not normal for raspberry pi to get that hot because I tried my raspberry pi 2 for 2 days running Kodi and it didn't get that hot. A factory defect maybe? I walk around other forums on the net and they said that their machine has been running for months without turning it off so I guess letting it of running like that is not an issue.
