Corporal Wojtek

Corporal Wojtek was a solider who belonged to 22nd Artillery Supply Company of the Polish II Corps during world war 2. Only unusual thing about him was he's not human but a Syrian brown bear ! During battles he used to carry shells to artillery positions and said to be he had never dropped a single crate or shell ever. If you are curious to know bit more about this solider bear then check these 2 articles.

I saw a movie about it. Was pretty awesome. Will check if I can find it. Wait a minute this is another bear called Winnie. So not about your story, although it was also during WWII and the bear was also a Mascot of the company. Except instead of Polish they were Canadian. Movie is called - A bear named Winnie (2004)

Yes it seems a different one. Wonder if it's a true story too or just a fiction.

I think they are both true. The Winnie story is how Winnie the Pooh happened.
