Cats ? Evil ?

Hmm never been a cat person except for kittens. Kittens are fun with all the crazy things they do just like puppies. Only cat experience I had was when I lived at my grannys place. She had this cat who's kinda vegetarian. She loves fish but never hunted rats or anything. I saw a rat walked right next to her face (yep walked not even running) and she didn't even bothered to look at it.

And there was this cat next door to grannys house and IT was a real terror. Killed all my gold fish I had in pond. After so many times falling into pond he found a way to catch them.

Almost all my females friends don't agree with me about my opinion, cats are evil and selfish xDDD. They only comes to you when they need something or a hug not when you need. Dogs on other hands always available and their whole world centered around their owners.

Cats are not evil. They are just different from dogs.

Not all cats are alike either. There are cats and then there are cats.

Cats are more independent than dogs, but many of them like being around humans.

I've met some evil cats and some evil dogs. Then I'veet a few amazing cats and some awesome dogs. It depends on the personality of the animals and the owner and how the owner went about raising and training the animal.

One thing I agree is cats are totally independent if you left them somewhere they can feed them selves and they won't be heart broken like dogs. So far I haven't met any evil dogs. Once bitten by a bite but it was totally my fault.

Maybe in general, but we had a cat when I was a kid who died from a broken heart when we were away on a 5-week holiday. It was a people's cat. Fantastic character. It refused to eat when we left and then deteriorated after that. I was pretty upset at the time as felt somehow responsible for neglecting a good friend. It was looked after by our gardener, and was given food regularly, but just refused to eat.

Hmm I have read stories about cats who traveled over 100s of miles to find their owners. They are tough when it comes to this kind of think. First time I heard about a broken hearted cat. Very Happy

Believe me, there are plenty of douchebag dogs out there... they're not all good companions, and a lot are terrible to people outside of their "pack".

I'm more of a cat person, because I like their independence... and, unlike you, I tend to dislike kittens, finding them stupid and needy Razz Yes, they generally don't NEED you, but they choose to be with you (if they're outdoor cats, and are allowed to roam, indoor cats don't really get the choice).

While I don't think they're evil, I do agree that outdoor cats are destructive, and there are plenty of studies/observations to back the claim. They kill a LOT of birds, rodents, lizards, fish and other prey... and often don't even eat them. Pet cats have extirpated local populations of various small animal species in several locations (notably on many islands). Cats SHOULD be leashed like dogs (should be), though they represent a much lesser risk to people than loose dogs do, they represent a greater risk to local wildlife.

Outdoor cats are naturally hunters (usually out of necessity) using their instinctive behavior where indoor cats don't need to since they are provided for. Cats are very independent and choose to be around (or not) you. My last cat always greeted me at the door and enjoyed being close and playful.
Dogs seem to demand attention.

Yes Dogs do demand attention and they prefer to be with their owner than other dogs, most of the time. The pack thing is true too but again its what makes them good. They are protective about their family which they consider everything in its area humans and even family cat if they get together well. The thing is I think even those stray dogs like human company but stray cats are not.

Hey Ankhanu how could you dislike kittens haha they are so fun. Kittens do like human attention unlike adult cats. Its fun to watch they play.

Haha Ankhanu .... just can't picture a cat being leashed. On the other hand, why not. Why haven't we been doing it so far?

I have seen people walking with their cat in a leash like you walk a dog, but it's not a usual sight.
Peterssidan on Thu Feb 14, 2013 8:07 pm
This leash thing doesn't work with cats because they have this independent thing. Dogs don't mind but cats hate it. You might be his/her owner but they don't like you to take their freedom away. xDD

I am much more of a cat person than a dog. Personally I just think that cats are easier to take care of, but I have always wanted either a black and white husky or an all white german shepherd. :3
