This is a follow up to my previous blog post about coding. I know it's like 30 seconds later, but I find myself wanting to make another one for some odd reason. Well lets get straight to the point. I have this new community I'm working on that's basically a small discussion forum that allows geeks to role play or discuss role playing games. You're probably wondering, "Where does all this coding come into play with a forum?" Well let me tell you. This community isn't just about role playing and rpg discussions. It offers a variety of text-based role playing games that people can play. One of the games is called The Legend of the Green Dragon where you basically play a hero that has to become strong by slaying monsters, fighting your masters to advance levels, and then finally slay the dragon that is terrorizing the town.
To many people this game will sound boring since it's all text, but a lot of people actually find it to be a lot of fun. I know I find games like these very entertaining. I should really get back on topic.
What I'm trying to say is that I have a huge addiction to creating new communities based around a specific niche called gaming. Ever since I made by first Dragon Ball Z fansite back in 2001 using hometown from AOL, I've been into making website. Though I didn't learn to code until 2009 when a good friend of mine decided that it would be a good idea to teach me the art of coding. At this time I was into graphics design, so in the process of learning to code I was also learning graphics design.
My question to you guys is. Do you like running your own community? If so, why?
