Travelling again

Looks as though I'm in travelling mode again - flying tomorrow via Johannesburg to Dubai and will be staying in the Emirates for two weeks to teach someone the job I used to do. It's taken them a while to fill my position, and whilst waiting I've been doing online assignments for them over the last months and need to do a handover of a kind. Cross fingers I get paid for what I did.

Still - going to be interesting. I'm flying with the cheapest airfare I could find - Ethiopian Airways - so hope I'll land in one piece at Dubai Airport with all bags accounted for. Razz

I am keeping my finger crossed that you get paid and for a safe flight.

Thanks for the good words Stand. The trip was exhausting, but everything arrived in Dubai including my two suitcases. Now it's buckle down and work hard.

Coincidentally am typing this at an Internet Cafe - kind of new with new equipment. Interesting part is that it is completely dark. Light part is what goes on on the screen, and a keyboard with color reflectors on it. It's a 24 hour place. So now at least I have a place for checking in with Frihost. Keyboard is unbelievably soft to the touch, quite something to work with keys without being able to see them.

This is the speed of the Internet here - impressive:

That is impressive speed for a cafe. You must be the only person using it.
Glad you arrived safely!

Damn, I really hope you get paid for the extra work.

That's pretty decent speed; fibre is great Smile

I would have asked for some payment in advance before handing over my skill Wink .

Thanks. I'm hoping to get paid too, thanks for thinking of me .... hopefully those thoughts will go round as I need the income.

I'm back in the Internet Cafe sitting near the race car simulating side - steering wheels and all. Like the whole place feels like a racing course .... happy noises however, kind'a like it. May try out those simulators tomorrow. One guy has just started a race in a Lamborghini - 350 km/h. Razz

if he can actually do 350 km/h in a simulator that is sitting still!! Brick wall Exclamation

Right Stand. When I congratulated him on it, he said exactly the same. 999 km/h is doable.
