Post No. 22000 - Reflection on Numbers

So looks like this post number is going to be 22000. Chief spammer of Frihost. Razz Can't believe how fast time has flown when I first started a Forum account at Frihost. Feels like another universe and another life time.

I've always loved numbers at Frihost, and I'm still missing Bondings stats tool that bit the dust when he couldn't fix the coding after our move from the US Data Center to German Data Center in July 2014. It was so nice to be able to check the Frihost number of posts for every month and every year. Anyway, we seemed to have survived that too. And we're still here. And I'm still a number nut.

For a very long time Bondings' post count stopped at 13 333. I was wondering whether he had made a conscious decision to depart Frihost Forum at 13 333. So thought to set mine at 22 222. At the time I set it it looked certain that I may never reach it as traffic was very slow and times uncertain. That was two years ago. But looks as though we may be getting closer - like 22 222 certainly looks doable now - unless something really drastic happens. Maybe I could look at 33 333 now - like that's a nice number too and even more impossible than what 22 222 looked two years ago. 11 000 posts? Wonder how many Frihost years that would take to do those in? Another 10 years maybe? Maybe impossible? Maybe definitely impossible. Very Happy

This is an amazing achievement !
Which triggers the question: is there a way for a Frihost user to retrieve all his postings ? I know I can browse through the last 200, but would there be a way for me to list or even export everything I have written on Frihost ?

In your profile it will show you the number of post and if you click on it you'd get:

it's not the same as the last 200 posts but it will show you all posts ( with the message )

It's amazing how consistent you are, making around 50 posts per month without exception. Cool

You, sir, are a posting machine. Single-handedly keeping this place populated with new content Wink

WOW! This made my day Peter. Forgot this tool that you created a long time ago. I was completely unaware how consistent my posting has been. Cool

Interesting part is that your script detects 21659 posts. Just curious what the shortfall is that your script picked up on?

Btw: When one clicks on my number of posts Frihost sees 22032 - guess some of my posts must have made their way to spamcan and spamcan doesn't get counted. Very Happy

Impressive Dean, well done.

The memberlist has you down at 22004 (As I type) So I guess like you say, a few must of been spam canned.

Looking at Peterssidan's stats, my yearly high was 533 in 2011, compare that to this year, this is my 14th post. Surprised

I hadn't been updating the stats for over a year (no one seemed to look at them anyway) but decided to do it now because of the special occasion.

The stats are collected from the list linked to by Marcuzzo above, so spam canned posts wouldn't be counted (unless they were collected before being spam canned). If you have some kind of hidden staff forum those posts would be missing too.

OK that makes great sense Peter. Thanks again for the stats and graphs. That made my day! Cool

Hahaha. I post a lot and very quickly, but in consistency and durability you are the utmost winner. 22.000 posts. I'm really amazed. Keep going. I know you're a very valuable asset in the community, and you seem to be a very nice dude so I wouldn't be surprised if you were considered a valuable asset in other communities as well.

Just passed my psychological milestone of 22222 posts. OK now, wonder how many years it will take to get to 33333? And whether Bondings will make an appearance before then? Think

11111 posts to go. Hmmm maybe not. It will take 11 years if 1000 posts are reached per year. Can't remember when last I reached the 1000 posts per year mark. But who knows. With Bondings everything is possible. I'll just keep on posting and see how it goes. Very Happy

Right Stand. I'm also eternally hoping to see a post from Bondings one day. I'm a dreamer. Very Happy

Dean, you are just a silly little dreamer! Cool

That's a lot of posts. I have to agree, though. Dean is the Energizer Bunny. Probably has the costume hanging in his closet and if anyone asks that's just for Halloween.
