Sorry to our members from Belgium

My sincere condolences to Bondings, Marcuzzo and all of the Frihost members from Belgium for what happened at the Brussels Airport and Train Station. What an unbelievable rotten act of cowardice that was.

Hope all of you and your loved ones escaped the tragedy.

I just checked out all the photos of the devastation at the airport. For a country that is used to being safe, and where authorities are reluctant to ask people to show their ID documents or check in any way on them out of concern for their right to privacy, it has been rocked right down to its roots. Nothing worse than to wake up and find out how very vulnerable every one really is. Can only imagine security being beefed up everywhere else in Europe, including the Netherlands.

I can't never understand how they could persuade local people to do their dirty suicide attacks.

Agreed rx. And it looks as though there was a third guy who had run away from the scene of suicide. I just wonder how deep the brain washing had to go for a sleeper cell to want to really do so much harm to themselves and their fellow human beings. I can understand maybe if they were not from Belgium society itself, but I'd have thought that if one had lived in Belgium for long periods of time that their strong sense of not to discriminate against sex/religion/race/ or anything, and not to do harm to one another would have penetrated deeply enough to have made them pause to do something as horrendous as this. Belgium is the complete anti-thesis and opposite of violence in any shape or form.
