Just had a nostalgic contemplative post stat moment thinking back to the heady days when a few of us would be posting 80 to 100 points a day. I find it very difficult these days to find threads that I can reply to, like everything that needs to be said has already been said particularly in the General Chat Forum. I'm making my peace we've got less, but still some very good quality ones among them, particularly when I compare the general quality with other similar Forums. And of course the great sense of community that comes with a growing number of years of shared Frihost history among the regular and irregular Frihosters.
I was also thinking the other day when I noticed 100 guests in the footer area, and me the only member, that none of us probably need to make that many posts any longer. It's as though all of our collective post effort over the almost 10 years of Frihost history created a traffic momentum of its own. I've noticed some Websites in China and elsewhere unscrupulously copying parts of Frihost as their own. But of course with some mileage for Frihost as well. We've got guests from all walks of life helping to broadcast Frihost to every corner of the world.
Thinking about it that way makes me happy as when I'm in cPanel and enjoying my fantastic Rolls Royce standard hosting I always feel guilty wondering whether there is enough income to cover the cost of the cpanel license (200 USD pa), the data center server rental (got to be minimum 400-500 USD).
