Looking after birds ...

Still on the Oman Corniche, found this very welcome sight. Also noticed it on the
sea wall. People are wisening up to feeding the birds seeds instead of clumps of bread.
Bread in large quantity, is of course bad for birds. Not only were visitors feeding
the birds seeds, but noticed they were providing some water as well.

This area is located near this historic "fort".

On the opposite side of the "fort" is a jetty, popular for angling for fish, which I don't
think is really allowed, but must be a fun sport for visitors.

Thanks Stand. Can't believe how many I took. Probably because I hadn't taken any in a while! Very Happy

Looking after birds is always such a good feeling. If you feed them for 4-5 days daily at the same time, Those birds will come near you as soon as they see you... And it feels good to be surrounded.

You're right Nyasro. That must be it, creating a sense of community with birds. Has a nice ring to it. Cool

That's a neat little fort up there and a really big staircase! I probably would have marched on over there and started the great climb! Does the fort extend below, into the rocks?

Wooh.. Cool pictures right there. It must be hard and tiresome to go up that fort, right? Smile

Anyway, I just got curious on the picture with the little fort above those not so big mountains. Is that a shadow of a person in the window or just a wooden window with a hole on it? Rolling Eyes

No, that was an actual person in there. Smile
