Have learned over the last couple of weeks that WordPress is not only for blog sites, but works very well for a non-blog Website as well. What is neat about it is that one then gets to score all of the useful plug-ins that are available for making contact pages or contact forms. Particularly when one doesn't have time available for all of the coding.
I learned how to turn off blog posts and comments, as well as learned that most templates come with whole page options. I'm well on my way to creating my first WordPress Website for a small professional organisation.
Not all of it is going smoothly of course, as I'm learning mostly by trial and error. Nice part is however that there is a wealth of information available out there. Some of it a bit time consuming to wade through, but now and then I've hit on something really useful.
