Quiet in the Forums

Can't believe how quiet it is in the forums over Christmas period. Looks as though some folks are still celebrating this season to the extent that it takes them away from their computers. Good for them!

I'm always nostalgic at this time of the year. So am wondering what direction life should take after New Year's. I'm well beyond resolutions, as they always seem to be there for being broken. However it feels like a nice blank page for something new and meaningful to be created. Also time for making a wish or two. Razz

I miss Bondings in the Forums. I missed his usual 1st of April fool's message, I also missed his festive season greeting. But was it really that bad with not having him available in the Forums during 2013? As Bondings is present where it matters most. He is keeping the servers alive, and the available staff and regular members are keeping the Forums alive. In comparison with the early to mid-Frihost years, we may not be doing as well. But in comparison with other similar Forums, we're doing excellent. Server 1 could probably be fixed up better as it was down again tonight, but when it's up, it's roaring with energy.

So cheers to every one! Wishing you all a Happy New Year. And wishing a great year for Frihost as well. Thanks to Bikerman and Ankhanu for being around as regularly as they are, and of course all the other Staff when they have time. Would give my eye teeth for tidruG to make a magic appearance. Am very happy to see Blaster. Pretty awesome appearance thanks Blaster. And of course all of the regulars that make the Forum go around. Cheers to every one!

Cheers! The reason why I'm not active in the forums is my cellphone... I find it easier to just use it than to turn on my computer (lazy me being lazy). But the whole internet is a more peaceful place during the Holiday season... Except tumblr. Tumblr is always bumbling with life even during Christmas. Razz

Happy Holidays, Dean!

Cheers to you Dean and Vanilla. Many travel to see family during the holidays and may not have easy access to a computer/internet. The new year means preparing taxes for me and time to look back on how well my business did and what I can to increase it.

Happy Holidays to all and my best 'wishes' for the New Year!

Cheers! On Christmas family members come home and we do stuff together and we go visiting other people so it means less time spent at the computer. Things will probably go back to normal in a few weeks.

I've been a couple of hundred miles from home with my son for the last week, at my mothers house.
She has got internet but I've been partying with the family every day and my lad turned 16 this week, got legally on the roads with his motorbike as well, so internet has been pretty much the last thing on my mind.
Only now chilling in my house so I've poured myself a drink from one of many 'bottle presents' and logged back on Frihost.

December, to me, is only about my son's birthday, the Winter solstice with days getting lighter, being off work to see family and friends, and looking forward to a new year.
Regardless of whatever this month means to anyone else though, I sincerely wish everyone a happy new year filled with beautiful experiences, blue skies, rainbows and smiles Smile

Same to you Watersoul. Season's greetings and Happy Birthday to your son. Hope he'll enjoy the bike. And hope the weather gets sorted out soon in the UK. Smile

Cheers Dean, been lucky with my weather experiences compared to many others, but my drives to/from Wales this last week were really horrible horizontal driving rain, down to 35mph/56kmh on normally 70mph/112kmh motorways, windscreen wipers at full blast still poor visibility.
Didn't enjoy it at all, total concentration for hours.
Was a brilliant week when there though, it's definitely why I've been on the Fri-missing list Very Happy

I'm looking for interesting discussions now, and I started an electronic music blog. I may start another blog next week on small business, since I have some experience with it, and I'm thinking about being self-employed again. Or I could call my blog "Unemployment", since I am Smile

Well I guess I have plenty of time to post on Frihost. Smile

It is so quiet in here that I actually heard the pin drop along with TheGremlyn's Mynx purring.

Think I must follow your example Space. Start an electronic blog or something while it's quiet.

Haha Stand. Can just hear Mynx purring. Very Happy
