133 guests?

Tonight while I was posting I noticed I was the only registered member posting, and 133 guests visiting at the same time. Are they bots, or real guests? Sort of perplexing to me.

Feels quite lonely around here. My writing feels as though it is echoing in emptiness. Energy is dead. Nice to see Matrix posting again though. And the stalwarts and regulars. Although they seem to be getting less and less.

OK, this is beginning to sound a bit depressed to me. What can we do to break out of this lethargy disease?

I hear you, Dean. 133 bots and potential spammers. Really a bit sad around here. Maybe ocalhoun could ask Jay to start posting some.

Jay would be great. Laughing

Ocalhoun would be good for a few too. Although maybe he's flat on his back or something. Knowing him however he'll soon improvise on a special new technique, how to keep up with posts when one's incapacitated.

Haha .... at time of writing 96 guests and only me. Can hear my writing echoing in the Sub-Forums. Very Happy

Few minutes later: Guests have just gone up to 109. And only me.

It will be mostly visitors from search engines, which is a good thing for click through and revenue, which is what enables Bindings to keep up the free hosting,in terms of forum activity it doesn't really help,I do think as I have mentioned elsewhere, the fact frihost still gets lots of guest traffic and I assume good revenue, while a good thing,I think it is kind of papering over the cracks and perhaps blinding Bondings to the overall decline in the forum.

Totally agreed Truespeed. And well said. Great insight as well about the guests. Haven't figured out the bot angle of it before, and how that indirectly is contributing to the overall decline as well. Makes great sense of course.

I agree with you totally. Frihost seems to be a very lonely place of late, and I, for one, can not seem to find anything to write about. Which is sad, because if everyone can't find anything to write about, nothing gets written. However, I have been trying, and I have been failing to get to a regular posting habit. Still trying, it is just not happening. I would like to see some more posts, but I am sure I am not the only one.

The information about the current number of guests is interesting, and I am will admit that I do sometimes browse the site not logged in.
