Rocky gone to heaven ....

Last night when I bumped into Rocky's owners, asked them how Rocky was doing, as I hadn't seen him in a while. Then heard the bad news that he had died. Apparently he just stopped eating one day, eventually was taken to the vet, and never returned. Looks as though he joined his three siblings who had been taken to the vet a couple of months or more ago and also didn't return.

That was really sad to hear. Looks as though the kids were taking it pretty well though. Rocky's mom is having kittens one of these days again and that must have smoothed things over for them. I asked about the father of the new pending kitty litter, and apparently the father died after a car had run him over. Any way, looks as though life is going on, and every one is happy.

Can't help but wonder at the life expectancy of cats and especially kittens in my compound though. Lily, the beautiful little kitten who insisted to spend a night with me a few months ago when she was lost, eventually was run over by a car. Don't think her owners were taking proper care of her. Her brother was run over by a car about a month or so before her. Two beautiful cats gone. One cat run over I can understand, but two?

It's certainly tough to be a cat in the Middle East.

I'm suspicious about the vet. >.< It seems nobody who goes there return alive. Also probably these days cat's don't have nine lives.

That is so sad, Dean.
As for the cats that got run over. careless owners and thoughtless drivers. So sad.

True. I don't trust that particular vet either, but kudos to the mom for taking Rocky to a vet though.

I'm also used to cats having nine lives. I can't shake the feeling that they're disposable around where I'm living. Kittens come, kittens go.
