So here is where I had my best lunch in Oman. Absolutely nutritious and went down great. Lasted me for a few hours too.
I had a slice of "French toast", except it is a million times nicer as it is a curry version of french toast. Probably can call it Omani toast maybe. Here is what it looks like - all hygienically packed.
I was lucky, as when I arrived at the scene the chef was in the process of preparing a fresh batch. As apparently they are very popular. And therefore fast moving. The chef is in the back working his magic with all of his dishes. The friendly guy in the front is the front manager.
I NEVER buy food like that, and this was my first try. What prompted me as a sure bet was that this Coffee Shop is situated on Government property serving the Omani employees of Oman National Transport Services.
Definitely a memorable meal for sure. Had it with Masala Tea, which is an Indian spice tea and a banana fritter for desert. Didn't need anything for about six hours after that. My energy levels spiked through the roof. Did an enormous three hour hike straight after.
