This crazy pursuit turned into a fantastic one, was thoroughly distracted and enjoyed every minute of it. I was in Muscat for a quickie two-day trip. The first day when I was photographing my favourite spots on the Corniche in Matrah visibility was not that great. However that night it rained cats and dogs, Muscat's first rain in a year, and the next morning all of us woke up to a brilliant sunshine day with blue skies. I was up at the crack of dawn to go for a very long walk. Turned out much longer than I thought it would be as discovered some beautiful scenery for miles and miles down the corniche.

Very nice photos. I am glad they finally got some rain. At least it was a t night as to not spoil your visit much.

Thanks Stand. The rain's timing was completely convenient. All of it happened at night time. Next morning was brilliant sunshine weather. That's the thing about the Middle East. Rain gets dumped and it's over. Probably most of the mess afterwards was due to inadequate drainage as they don't really need it as much for the rest of the year, which consists of 350 days or more of dry weather.
