Such a world traveler you are, Dean. I am still pouting that you did not 'drop in' as you flew over house on your last trip. laugh
BTW: did I miss the pictures from that trip?
Now is a great time weather wise in the Middle East. Not too hot, not too cold. Perfect Goldie Locks weather. So probably my next destination should be close to where I am. Am thinking of short trips to various parts of the East coast of the UAE, including Dibba, Khor Fakkan, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, as well as Oman, Musandam and Muscat. Haven't been to Oman in quite a while.
Long-distance wise my next big travel would probably be South Africa to visit family, as am overdue for a visit with them. Can't believe how fast time has flown. Two years since my last visit. December is a bit expensive, and I'm not a great fan of Xmas. So will likely aim at March or so next year.
Once spring starts in 2013, would really like to visit Istanbul. Can't understand why I haven't been there already. Venice, Italy is also on my list. Sort of a toss up between the two of them. I've been to Rome before, but have heard that Venice is a great place to see. May make it part of a trip to the Alps as well, and cross over into Switzerland. Provided it's not too expensive.
Netherlands and Belgium are also on my list, but not sure when I will make it. Could combine it with long-haul travel. Would love to visit Utrecht and definitely Brussels.
