Bondings is back!

Today was a great day for me at Frihost. Looks as though Bondings is back after more than 10 weeks of absence. Then learned he was not really away. He was just short of time, so just had enough time available to look after the technical operation of the Website. I probably should have known that. Bondings and Frihost after almost six years have to be linked at the hip so to speak. And his priority has always been the technical operation of Frihost.

It is a nice feeling to have him back. Almost like a much needed reaffirmation that all is again in capable hands. Except of course, it always has been. Probably need to have greater faith in Bondings' capability of always being much nearer than we think he is. His has always been an understated presence.

Bondings probably does not need to do much to Frihost any longer, as the more than million posts must be generating traffic without even trying. So perhaps all our worries are groundless. Frihost may be able to survive for a few years, without doing anything more than just checking on the IT portion.

Is he really? Nobody seems to be responding to any request: hosting and free domain. It's almost a month, that I requested for free TLD.

What is a coin worth now? Laughing

Maybe it is like a stock it fluctuates in value?

Yes it is great to see him back on the forums.

However if we want Frihost to live, then we all must keep helping the community. Yes some revenue may come off of the ads even if we don't post anymore, but if the community dies, then Frihost will eventually die as well, as there are already other forums out there with well over 1 million articles and the more they get ahead of us, the more we get buried in the search engines.

Must..continue...to....post.... Shocked

We'll take over Google one day.

btw Dean, you still need to hit 700 posts this month. How's that coming? Laughing

I think Dean is going to post about the 700 post this month under his "Crazy Pursuits". Laughing

That reminds me Standready, I have not done any of that in a long looong time. Very Happy

Keep on talking Ghost Rider. I got side tracked by two negative blog posts about me (my weak achilles heel I know). Silly me actually, they had been written in August and September while I was away. I responded to one and am contemplating responding to the other. But when you talk like this, it really motivates me to make posts that are easier to write. Those aggravating ones can easily take hours to write taking away valuable time for getting our post count up.

Motivation is good, we need everyone to keep on posting.

I'm currently thinking of some ways on which will help bring old members back and also get our current visitors to keep posting / referring even more.

That's an awesome idea Ghost Rider.

I've been posting at FreeWebSpace.net for a while, although lately have slacked a little. I'm not really a Free Website Host. Maybe you should join up too, as it is a great learning curve and you may find some other ideas for sprucing up Frihost and doing more PR. The Website is also a very valuable resource for getting new members to join Frihost.

That's a great idea, I never thought about posting there to try to gain some members. I'll sign up and put you as my referrer.

Thanks Ghost Rider. I probably should get back to posting there as well. Will put this on my to-do list for tomorrow.
Very Happy

Well maybe Bondings is not really back after all. I thought he was when I saw him making that one little post and then maybe the odd other two. Been waiting for a very long time now ....

Looks as though Bondings is back after all. Finally around 10 November am noticing his minus points are shrinking a little. Life just feels completely different when he is around, our server status is almost symbolic of that. All of the ticks in my signatures are a healthy and glowing green. Wonder what kind of life altering event had happened to him to have taken him away for as long as he has been. Whatever it has been, best wishes for his new home and future, particularly the one at Frihost of course.

Still on the subject of mighty leaders, maybe someone could come up with a special gift to Ghost Rider for all his above and beyond efforts in getting some of the golden oldies to post again. I think out of all of what happened, that must have been one of the nicest experiences. I can't remember last posting with gusto as I had when Blaster was blasting away a few weeks ago. That was like a real gift from Frihost heavens.

Bondings probably got married.

I have seen the same situation in another free hosting site. The owner was no longer posting that much in the forums because he just got married and was busy doing a different job. Last June, he bid farewell and did not post again anymore. He introduced a new admin but still the same mods. My bet is, he probably sold the site to new admin.

I hope Bondings get back soon because I unfortunately have not known a lot about him.

I don't think the same will happen with Frihost Loremar. Don't underestimate the bond between Frihost and Bondings. I don't know whether you've noticed a new featured discussion topic for the first time in months as well. We're up and running again! Great stuff!

I was going to say that he probably came here to post in the "server is down" threads. Featured discussion that is a good sign though. Mr. Green

@Peterssidan. Agreed. Just noticed him getting into positive territory point wise. 0.20. Awesome!
