Is pretty heavy.

First, I joined the Game Making Drive in the RPGMakerWeb forums! This urges indie game devs (me) to finish their games (because we're lazy). Isn't that cool? Finally, an event saves my project.

Next, The Big Bang Theory! Yes, I'm a big fan of that show. The current episode was about Sheldon getting reported by Alex (his assistant) to the Human Resources for alleged "sexual harassment". At first this baffled me because WHY SHELDON OF ALL THINGS? Then as I watch the whole episode, it wasn't so bad after all. I lol'ed at the four getting "scolded" by the HR person.

Then, school! EXAMS. I have a maths exam on the FIRST DAY. Directional derivatives, gradients, double integrals, blah blah. I haven't reviewed anything since the start of the vacation (how's that?). So here I am scrambling through my notes hoping I could pass this thing. Very Happy

That's it for now. Wow, I can't believe I have 80+ blog entries. I will empty most of them since I saw someone stealing my content.

For now.

School's a bit hectic; I have a lot of things to accomplish, so from time to time I'll try to update my blog (my points are kinds low now).

Anyway, happy Saturnalia and a fruitful new year! Very Happy

The good thing about this software is that you have so much time to focus on the plot and game flow since the graphics, audio, and the level editor are already there; it’s also a powerful tool for advanced developers since they can create custom scripts to add more reality in gameplay. It encourages you to be more imaginative in designing the mechanics and stitching all the scenes into a cohesive game.

“Mary and the Adventurer’s Journal” is a short game about an old journal she finds while checking the restricted section of their family library. This is my first project in VXAce. You can see the post here.

RPG Maker never ceases to imbue imagination. When ideas sprout in my head, this software makes it happen, and it can even add more details. There’s this one thing that makes RPG Maker an unforgettable game-making tool: it turns a developer’s dream into reality. So what are you waiting for? Make Your Own Game!

I was in fifth grade when I first discovered RPG Maker, a software for creating role-playing games. I was fascinated by games like the Aveyond series during that time, so I decided to create one. RPG Maker XP was my tool of trade: the editor, the database, scripting and eventing, all packed in one powerful product. I’m currently using RPG Maker VX Ace as my game-making tool, and I’ve never been so happy wielding games with it.

“An Empty Present” is about a boy, Nathan, who still hasn’t got a present for twelve years. I was only 14 when I made this, so forgive my story-telling. You can see the post here.

RPG Maker is like a door to me. It opened me to the world of game development. Without it, I wouldn’t be able to discover so much about indie game dev and the game-making industry itself. It’s the foundation that supported me as an indie developer. I learned how to create seamless stories, build challenging puzzles, and drive a concept to reality — with this very simple program.

Last exam will be today. After this tiring semester, I'm gonna be free (but only for two weeks)! I have a lot of things in mind. I want to explore IndieLib (click here), a fast game development tool. I also want to start YouTube vlogs focused on gaming, and graphic design (2 separate vlogs). So many things to do!
