You can add another account to Google play and maybe delete the other account listed. Not sure never tried but I would think there is an option to do so

nah... no need to root. just go to setting, accounts, then just delete it from there.

you can also add another google account there. wonder why you say you can't. have you tried? or are you using an imitated phone with imitated OS?

oh... beside those 2 things that you don't know, there is one very important thing you also do not know:
you need to quote the whole thing and put a reference that you copied everything form

dummy do dummy does.

And besides that have u first tried doing so ? I own an Android device and i have personally done it,you will not be able to remove your primary account. It will not get removed.
Note: try it and then comment a reply.

Inbetween are you using stock rom or custom rom ?

Why cannot you use the default setting provide in your phone ?,
There is an option to remove the accounts in setting --> account & sync --> remove accounts !
Won't that be more simplier than this method ?

i've remove and add my google account countless time. this is because sometime when i change ROM, my market is not working and removing and adding back my google account fix the problem.

see... just another post asking why you didn't use setting in your phone to do it. it seem you are the only one who couldn't do it.

there is another theory though, after you copy paste that stupid method and everybody said it can be done easily via setting, now you have to stick to your method, even maybe you never own an android, hence the lack to find it out yourself.

You won't be able to remove it if that account is being used by other applications like gmail, drive, gtask etc.
See you have removed it plenty of times to make your market work which means your account hasn't been sync with google servers so you had been able to do it and this is to remove primary email which means the first email which you add to your device that is sync with servers.

Anyway thanks for making me to understand that Google cannot take advantage of our devices until we sync it to their servers.

And you to learn that there is an alternate to change the primary email account in your android device. Wink
