Weird inventions

Someone invented an Automated Voice Recognition Typewriter, as can be seen in this youtube video. Source: heise.de
Impressive, but weird, isn't it ? Would you call that a completely useless invention ?
OK, not every invention can be as successful as the one from Alexander Graham Bell 140 years ago, which became may be the most valuable patent in history but which was not recognized initially as very useful.
What other weird inventions can we think of today ? Come on, be creative. May be what sounds weird becomes a revolutionary success story ?
Here is my idea for today: A Body Language Translator translating body language into spoken words.

I always get sad when Bell is mentionned instead of Meucci

as for weird 'useless' inventions...

I think that an eye blink and/or swallow counter is also a good one Very Happy

or a keyboard converter ( bear with me ) so you've got 1 keyboard that has a 'querty' layout and you are used to azerty ( NL-BE... go figure ) .

and using the 'fingers' seen in amarard's picture it will translate it to 'querty' Very Happy

Here is another very weird but nice invention: the Floppotron. Made with 64 floppy drives, 8 hard disks, 2 scanners, 1 main processor, driven by Python 2.7. What can it do ? Play Star Wars music ...
