In words: 1.5 billion. That many gigabytes are transmitted by mobiles like smartphone worldwide per month, according to a study done by Cisco. That's as much data as would fit on 320 million DVDs. Mobile data traffic grew 80 percent in the last year and today is 18 times of the total internet data volume in year 2000.
BTW this posting has been sent from an old fashioned desktop computer. I still prefer a real keyboard and sitting at a desk when typing longer postings.

I do prefer a real keyboard with buttons and all the works, but I fell I'm just being lazy lately. The reason I use my cellphone more than my laptop is because it's so much easier to do everything I need without turning on the laptop. The cell is already there, always on and always ready. So I guess I can understand this increase.

I think I will stick with my 'dumb' phone and continue to use my desktop.
