flickr has a giant collection of photos and some of them are free-to-use, which limits the choices but sill provides a large collection of photos you can use for free - more or less.
To find free photos on flickr simply do a search first. Let's say we need a photo for apples and thus search for "apples".
Once we get the results shown we can click on "Advanced Search", then in the upcoming dialog check on this check mark:
Now we do the search again and get a collection of free-to-use pictures of an apple.
OK, there are many pictures of Apple computers and accessories, but finally we find something useful:
Before we really use that photo it is recommended to check out the details of the license on the photo page itself, since there are many variations of creative commons licenses available and in many cases some restrictions apply.
Like in this case:
... You must give appropriate credit ( I am doing this, I guess, by providing a link to the original source where to find that photo, and to be 100 % sure I should mention: this photo was taken by Pat Kight )
... It must be for a non-commercial purpose ( and I consider my blog here non-commercial since I don't make any money with it. Wait a minute, I get some points to host my stuff on Frihost. So some mean lawyer actually could turn this against me )
... It must be unchanged ( which I didn't, I promise ! ).

Those are certainly useful Amagard. I particularly like the Creative Commons one.

That's cool! I use Google Advance image search to find images with creative commons and also use Royalty free images from gettyimages.
