Climate change

I am currently reading an extra research paper published by bild der wissenschaft, and the German Research Centre for Geosciences.

A few interesting fact and insights from this paper so far:

Thanks for pointing this out. It seems hard to find opinions about climate change not written by either climate change deniers or climate change worriers. From your summary, this appears to address both sides of the issue.

I found an article at:

http://www.wissenschaft.de/wissenschaft/news/315908.html

which I was able to read with some difficulty via google translate. If there is a more formal research paper I would appreciate a link to it, with or without an English translation.

Surely climate change, what if anything we could or should do about it, and how to cope with it will remain a major topic of discussion for decades to come. Poor us. It seems mankind has suffered from substantial variations in climate in past centuries, but we are the first to see it coming to some extent and to worry about it.

Yes, SonLight, what you write initially is also something the authors of this study have remarked: you find a lot of extreme opinions ( either: let's get back into the caves, or: we do not influence the climate at all or to any significant extend ), but it is hard to find facts.
So find more articles - also in English - on the web site of the German Research Centre for Geosciences ( see my link above ). Just head to their News section and search for "climate".
