I have always thought that the future if IT is artificial intelligence, nothing but "AI". But it has come to my attention, especially with the introduction of windows 7, that a new trend is fast approaching. If in the past the higher the technology, the higher the computer specifications are needed,I believe that at a certain point in time, this would stop.
A deep reverse would follow, where software would now require less specs while having more features and functions unlike the long, usual trend we have been accustomed to. For instance, Windows 7. Its predecessor, Vista ultimately is the memory/performance/speed eater in a computer. It was the peak of numerous ages of evolution, from windows 95 to windows 98, to windows XP and up to the present. But now, Windows 7 has broken the trend as it became more memory and performance efficient that Vista. You don't need to have monstrous specs, a mediocre, mid-level computer specs would do.
Artificial Intelligence would surely conquer the world in the future, but it sure isn't alone. It sure isn't. All we can do, is wait, see, and adapt once more.
