New job

It's funny how in my last blog post I was so bored because of my vacation and stuff, and now...

Well, some time in June I started translating some documents to this guy. One day, he called me (I remember because it was a Sunday) and asked if I could stay with him to do some interpreting job while translating the documents at his office. I agreed and since then, I'm working for him.

Like really working. I quit from the school and this is my last month teaching at the hotel. From August on, I'll be working for him full time (which means around 15 hours a day). I'm not going to lie, the salary he offered is pretty nice and I love to have power (insert evil laughter here haha), so I don't mind working late hours or during weekends. I used to have a teacher who said that you're not going to be someone extraordinary by working 40 hours a week. Well, that's what I'm doing. Razz

So if I'm away from Frihost, keep in mind that it's because I'm working at this crazy new job and enjoying every minute. Very Happy

Was just thinking of you yesterday Vanilla, and wondering where you were, and then you make your appearance. Very Happy

Great news about the job and the salary. Who knows, one day you can start your own business as a translator. With the hours you are putting in, you'll be a PRO shortly! Cool

Thank you Dean! But right now I'm working mainly as a buyer for the company. It's easier for them to have someone who can communicate with local suppliers in Portuguese and give them reports in English. I'm enjoying because who doesn't enjoy buying stuff hahaha?

Congratulations, Vanilla! I could enjoy buying stuff with other people's money as well but not my own.

Aha .... I thought you were a translator for the new company. Looks as though you're really getting into the world of big bucks. Well done! Probably going to open up opportunities for traveling pretty soon as well.

Hooooo boy I cannot wait for the traveling! They were explaining that they provide training at the main plant in their country. But this will take some time because we are still setting up and it would take some time. But the job is like a Kinder egg: a new surprise every day.

Also thanks for the congratulations, guys!
