course choice decision

on Thursday night, me and my dad were having a chat about what i wanted to do after my GCSE's, and i mentioned a course i had seen on the Tuesday at the open evening of the college near me - countryside management. He seemed intrigued at the name, so after explaining what i knew about it, we decided to look it up on the college's website. Upon reading the description of the course fully, i was enamored with what was to offer. so we looked at what i could do after this 2 year course, and what levels and certificates i would get upon completing it. so he's turned to me sat on the sofa and said just 5 words "do you want to apply!??". At this i jumped out of my seat and shouted "yeaaaah" haha so now i've applied and am happy with it, o know i think i know what i want to do in life. although i'm not sure it'll last my whole life.

does anyone truly know what the want to do in life?

Ooh, that is a tricky one for me. I've changed my mind and career path many times in my life and I'm sure I'll branch into something else as I continue making my way through it.
The main thing I'm sure about is always doing my absolute best at whatever life plan I happen to be into at whatever stage of my life...it's all a bit pointless chasing my dream otherwise.

Well done finding a dream you know you want to chase for the next couple of years though, and good luck with it! Smile

Countryside management sounds very intriguing. What does it involve?

@standready Hopefully it will be! and well i could get a job with any councils countryside team at a managerial level, or move abroud and find work out there, but if i go on to do a degree in Environmental resource management, then i could move even further up the chain Very Happy

Haha I change my mind by the day!
Keep going with your plans though, if it really is something you wanna chase then you'll definitely find success at it, don't ever listen to folk who've just been told whichever 'box' they should put themselves in...always choose the box you really really want to open......for your own reasons!
