There is no faster, nor more efficient gov't program at getting more cash to people than tax cuts.
The New Republicans On the $140 bil. to be spent on education
It's too bad wimpy Bush and the Majority Republican Congress from 2001-2006 failed to push thru Federal Vouchers. So parents would be able to choose a school to go to, and their choice would mean more cash for the school chosen.
Arguing about the neo-atheism / anti-Christian bias in gov't schools is not going to solve the problem.
Obama won. And he got his his huge new cash for schools. Now it's time to repeat, over and over, that tax vouchers would have been better. As the cash is spent with little or no improvement in scores, the failure of 'throwing money at the education problem' needs to be highlighted.
When Reps oppose something with a good goal, like improving education, we need to explain why our alternative is better. We need to have such an alternative in mind, even if it's the Hayek 'spontaneous order' of the market that has better, not perfect, results.
For stimulus -- tax cuts / tax holiday now.
For education -- vouchers.[/url]
