Bust Up

Probably the worst long weekend ever!! Last week my then girlfriend asked me to go visit in Kingston. Two hour drive away...

We have been rocky for a while and I was not looking forward to it. We proceed to have 3 yelling fights which involved her breaking up with me in front of her friends in the bar. I was so upset I ended up driving back to Pboro at 1am slightly intoxicated. I should not have done that! But now she is calling me wanting to make up Sad I am so confused. I know each story has two sides but the fights literally started by her getting upset at very small things I was doing.

I have never been in a relationship with such fighting and I know it is best to move on.

Fighting to that extent is probably not very constructive, and is known to get worse, not better. Doing it in front of friends is not a great sign either. Difficult to get to the stage to actually moving on though. Never very easy to do.

I was in a destructive relationship with a beautiful girl who had anger issues. Still have the scars on my nose where she bit me one night drunk in a city centre street. I stuck around for much longer than was healthy because other 'physical' aspects to our relationship were absolutely amazing, best ever in my life to be honest.

You won't walk away from her until you really want to inside, and yes I totally understand how difficult it can be. The only way I've personally found it easier to get a girl out of my head is to 'go elsewhere' on a weekend. I'm not gonna pretend that is a particularly nice strategy but it's always helped for me Wink
