I Found a Dinosaur

This appeared at our desk the other day.

I can't say I've seen this particular model before. The oldest computer I remember from public school featured green text and used massive 8 inch floppy disks.

This actually works too and it has an add-on so when you empty the trash can you see Oscar the Grouch pop up Very Happy He also says a few different things and I have a video where he says "I loooove trash"

I wasn't expecting this kind of computer so... short of ripping it apart to destroy the drive and data... I kind of want to keep it around. It's just so amusing!

You're right TH. That's like a hybrid that uses a CD. This is more what I can remember:

Came across these interesting old models of the old Apple Mac:

Oh wow! That's awesome! I'm sharing that one with some of my coworkers. I've seen some of those but others I didn't realize they existed!

Oh wow. Looks amazing and prehistoric. Does it still work? Did you or someone from your workplace try accessing it and using it like a computer? How frustrating is it? Or was it more interesting?

It still works and it has Word on it. The only issue is the cable for the keyboard is missing and the setup here is the mouse is supposed to plug into the keyboard then the keyboard plugs into the back of the computer. All we have is the mouse. It's not as slow as I thought it would have been. Navigation is a little weird and using the mouse is a little weird (clicking and holding to keep a menu open). We don't want to get rid of it. We want to prank someone and offer up that system as a loaner Razz
