Yup. The girly side of me came out to play the other day. Whole day of shopping, for the most part. Started early in the morning, around 10am I think. I trolled through the Mall popping into the stores I like because I knew I'd find something I'd want to buy. I went to Suzy Shier first and saw that they had these nice, stretchy tank tops on sale ( 3 for $18 ) so I bought 6 of those. 3 in black to replace my old ones and I got a pink-ish red one, a blue one and a light blue one. I also picked up a light blue shirt that is solid on one side and lace work on the back. I also found a black coat there but it only has two outside pockets so I'd have to find a purse somewhere (I'm used to having an inside pocket that holds my wallet and phone and iPod, etc). I ended up spending over $100 there so I got their prestige card for free and earned some kind of discount on top of that.

I ran out of that store before I got myself into more trouble and wandered into La Senza and you can only guess what I bought there! I walked through to the back of the store, found my section and set to work on finding stuff. It was a 'buy 1 get 1 50% off' so I walked out with 4. Again, spent over $100 and I got their store card for free! The only reason I spend so much at these places is because it's like an annual trip. I stalk up and I don't come back for months! It might make more sense to just for more frequently and buy one thing, as opposed to 4 or 10 things! Oh well...

Where did I go next... Ah yes. Hit up Aerie next and bought some other girly things there. They sadly did not have any shirts, not like what they had on their website so that was a little disappointing. They didn't even have the perfume I wanted! Vintage Lace smells sooo nice but they only had it online and I can't buy it online because they won't ship flammable liquids to my country! AH! Sad

Hmm... I did check out Old Navy but there were far too many bright colours there. I also tried American Eagle where I encountered a male sales associated who really could care less about his job. I just heard him call out "oh yea, we've got shorts on sale, blah blah blah". Didn't see anything in there so I walked out and went across to Bath and Body Works. They were having some good sales there where I could buy 3 items from their signature sets (shower gels and lotions and sprays, etc) and get 3 free. I got one set called Japanese Cherry Blossom and the other set is called Midnight Pomegranate. Apparently they're under the sexy, passionate category of scents... Who knew? They smell awesome so I don't care.

Well, At this point I was running out of the Mall to catch a bus because my bags were getting very heavy and my right shoulder sucks these days. I'd hurt it some months ago, then I got stabbed with a needle of Gravol and general muscle tension has screwed it up. I'd got some yoga videos I'm going through and I expect things will improve eventually.

Anyways, I finally got home and then my sister was texting me because she wanted to look at computers for Dad since he's decided to die on Easter. So my sister and I headed up to Walmart where we found one computer... Then I headed off to the clothing section and the next thing you know my sister and I have filled the cart with clothes. I got another tank top, two night shirts and two purses. One purse is a small-ish medium sized black one and the other is a slightly bigger purse that is a nice brown colour. I made my sister a little jealous and she almost bought a pink purse but then she decided she didn't need one. Then she mumbled about how she didn't know why she thought she needed one, just because I was getting two and she couldn't understand why I needed or wanted two, she still didn't need to get one. Oh, somewhere in that mess was a new duvet set. I've come to the conclusion that, while my mattress is a queen, my duvet is somehow a double even though it was supposed to be a queen... Oh well...

While my pockets were on fire after this I haven't ruined my bank account. I knew I wanted to go on a shopping spree and I knew it was going to be big and I could afford it. It was all part of the plan after pay day. Now I have more clothes! Yay! I like having a selection!

Sounds enjoyable and very exhausting at the same time! What computer did you and your sister get for your dad?

Only cheap one they had. Its an Asus AMD A8-5500, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 1 TB Hard drive running Windows 8. Cost $399.99. Had to go home and set it up for them and I spent a good bit of time uninstalling crap and installed useful things. Then I found out the computer wasn't activating over the internet to I had to call in and activate the OS. Managed to give dad a crash course in how to use it and he thinks it's actually very straight forward. Maybe it is, but I just don't like it...

Sounds like great specifications TG. What is it about the computer that you don't like? Also, first time I heard about activating an OS. Must have been really irritating for you (would have been for me for certain). Is this a new thing of Microsoft's?

Come to think of it, that's the first time I think I've had to activate an OS too... I only noticed something odd about the system when I was trying to change the background theme of the App screen and it wouldn't let me. An attempt my MS to make it harder to pirate their software? I think the reason I don't like Windows 8 is because I have my computer, with Windows 7, set up and functioning the way I want it. Icons in place, other programs pinned to my taskbar and the start menu for easy access. Not to mention my background rotates images every view seconds and they're really nice images from Skyrim. I just don't like how some programs will open in the App environment (usually the ones that come with Win8) and other open in the other desktop environment. To close a program in the App environment, one option is to drag it down from the top down into the bottom and release the mouse. In the alternate desktop environment you still have the nice big 'X' in the upper right corner to close things.

Aha! So it has Windows 8? I would also prefer Windows 7 for the exact same reason. However, would appear one can get the Windows 8 desktop to look like Windows 7 - like this example, but I'm sure there must be plenty others:

Sounds like you truly enjoyed your shopping adventure, L. Good for you. What did you buy Mynx?
I have heard you can change Windows 8 to act like Windows &. Although apparently only acts like 7 when it wants to.

Sadly I did not get anything for Mynx. I did stare at some toys for a bit but I just didn't see anything interesting... Maybe if I went to an actual pet store I'd find something new.
