Star Trek

Finally watching Star Trek Next Generation! I watched that series years ago and I wanted to watch it again. I managed to get my hands on the episodes and they're almost playing one after the other. Along with Star Trek I've started watching Stargate SG1. I had a number of friends on College who watched Stargate Atlantis (I think, or maybe it was just SG1) so I found it on NetFlix some time ago and I've been watching several episodes after work. I sort of just come home and curl up in bed with tea and a cat and start them up.

Speaking of tea I decided to buy a box of tea from the UK Shoppe here. The box is pretty awesome and the tea is called The London Cuppa. It was kind of funny when I was asking my boyfriend what kind of tea it was and he said it was probably English Breakfast so I asked him if he knew what that smelled like (He was born in England and moved to Canada at the age of about 16). Funny reaction because he thought I was accusing him of knowing what it smelled like because he's English. I was thinking, if he suggested the name, that he was familiar with the tea because he suggested the name. Good times.

Back to Star Trek. I was drinking some Earl Grey at work and I decided to change my profile picture in the portal for Jean-Luc Picard with a cup of hot tea in his hand. "Tea, Earl Grey, Hot!"

I rewatched them last year, all 7 seasons and then the films Laughing one of my favourite shows when I was a kid. Season 1 and all of the movies have been recently been released in 720p btw.

I like the weird episodes where you don't know what the hell is going on for 95% of it. Characters start completely changing and there's like 0 explanation until half way through. The others usually deal with some kind of diplomacy, character development of some kind, morality etc. Good show they don't make them like that anymore (although to be fair I did enjoy that Enterprise season).

J.J. Abrams who made the two new star trek films I personally think is going to end up making a season. Based on Fringe and some of his other work I think it will end up being excellent I can't wait. Can't think of anyone better to do it.

So when you are finished with Star Trek: TNG, are you boldly going to go back to the original series? or move ahead to Deep Space 9, Voyager or Enterprise? I have watched and re-watched all of them.
Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis then Stargate Universe. I personally could not get into the SGU. The first 2 I still enjoy watching.

I remember watching Deep Space 9 when I would come home from high school. I'd watch the last half of the episode and then watch the episode of Voyager that was on next. I was actually waiting for Voyager but I didn't mind DS9. I did try and go back and watch DS9 but I found it a little hard to get into. It wasn't as exciting as Next Generation or Voyager where they had a ship. After Next Generation I will probably skip to Voyager. I just really like Janeway and Paris and Torres and 7 of 9. Kim was awesome because he was playing the clarinet sometimes... which makes me wonder. Could Kim actually play the clarinet??? I mean, the one episode where they are surrounded by complete blackness he's playing a song. A simple one but it just seemed to real to fake.
