New Website

So since I'm just going nuts with my bf's soccer I've decided that, in addition to the twitter account, youtube page and facebook group, I'm also going to make a website (thanks to frihost) for the team.

It seems to be going over well and I've done a few things I've never done before. Like in tables the row you're on is highlighted as you hover over it. Never had a reason to do it before but it makes things a lot easier when you're looking at a list of things.

I've also embedded the youtube videos on the page so you don't have to go there to see the games. I'm also looking to put player bios on the site but I just need the players to actually do that! Then I need a team photo and individual photos for their bio pages.

Its a lot of work but I made a lot of progress in a short time. In about two days I had most of the site up and running. And yes, I'm doing this on the fly so things are always changing and being add and they can see that. Maybe not the best thing but I just don't want to have it in a test environment forever. This is a little more fun. And the guys really appreciate what I do. My role with this team is crazy and it just keeps growing.

Well done. I think tinkering on a Website very day is always a sign that the Website is alive and kicking. I like it when the owner of a Website is working on it every day. Gives great authenticity to the Website as well.

It's not much, and the team went from being Orange to a light blue and white, like the Argintina kit. Makes it so much harder for me to see who has the ball on the field when I'm recording :S

Also, I would like to try and hide those file extensions at some point. I remember reading about it months ago but I was still learning all this stuff, but I might be able to tackle it now. I don't want people seeing '.php' or '.html' or '.htm'
