Looking at Summer Project Here...

So, cause I'm a perfectionist and I really want this to work...

I'm looking at a overhaul of my school project on the courthouse side of things. The police side isn't really being used yet, so if I figure out how this works on the courthouse side (much smaller in comparison to the police side) then I can apply those same changes to the police side of the database/interface system... thing...

I just need to wrap my head around setting things up like a profile. Each prisoner has a profile with all their basic info and offender status. It should probably be shared between the two system, only depending on which side you're from you'll see different things... I dunno. Of course the Sargent at the courthouse didn't see the point in seeing what was on the police side, meanwhile the users sort of do... I don't know...

The only problem I'm having right now is all the movement activities...

So John Doe has his profile and he's an Adult, Male, who resides in the General Population in the cells (as opposed to Protective Custody). He comes to the courthouse and they record all his movements for the day. Then next week he comes back and they do the same thing over again. How would that be displayed on his profile page? I don't want to overwhelm the user with a ton of dates and actions and comments.

What I'd like is to show maybe the dates he's been in custody and when they click it they get a history of events... Hey... that gives me some ideas...

I'll be happy if I get this working. Then I can focus my attention on the police side.

*shakes head*

'We don't want officers editing to booking form, but they may need to make changes to it and then you can just have it display the most recent version, as well as all the others'

Okay... the booking form is only 3 feet long and uses radio buttons and check boxes that hate me!!!
