Long story short: I did, in one day, what my partner would take weeks on...
Short story long: For our project we need people to login to either side of the site (courthouse or police hq) and the problem is we never really developed an area where an admin could login and add, delete, view, and reset user passwords. On saturday I went hardcore and created the login and made of up the main page, current user page, add/delete users, and reset password sections. The only thing I have left is I need to work out the delete portion, which should be fairly simple.
What sucks is I emailed my partner about this and how it means the admin doesn't have to access the database itself and all he said was "I see...." I hate that. I can hear him now when I think about it. It's the complete "unimpressed" expression. It's probably because I came up with it and did it all on my own and it didn't take me long to get it working. He probably hates that.
Well I don't much care and I can't wait until this project is over. I want my sponsors to know that they can still contact me if they need some info or help in understanding something. I've been the one keeping face with them and they associate me with the project and not him. He's never been good at talking to them, he gets so defensive. I'm just trying to understand the sponsor and try and create something they want and something that works very well in their environment.
Anyway, that was my little rant for the day.
